Hamden is located in southern Connecticut, about 10 miles north of New Haven. 

Things to do in and around Hamden:

*Peabody Museum of Natural History - Explore the wonders of the natural world! Outstanding collection of dinosaur fossils, prehistoric mammals, dioramas, birds of CT, human origins, cultures and more.

*Sleeping Giant State Park - 32 miles of hiking trails, picnic area and shelter, river stocked with trout for spring fishing. The tower trail, as well as some of the other trails, lead to a stone tower offering a 360° view of the countryside.
